To schedule a meeting with your mentee/mentor, click on the calendar icon that appears on their profile in your Mentoring Relationships section.
Note: If you have not synced your Google account, you will be prompted to do so. This allows you to send calendar invites and log in with your Google account.
Step 1 - Add a meeting title
Add a title that reflects the purpose of the meeting, so that your mentee/mentor have a clear idea of why you want to meet. Note: The name of the platform will appear with your title.
Step 2 - Select the date and time of the meeting
Indicate the suggested time and date that you would like to meet. You can also edit the time zone, if needed.
Step 3 - Select the meeting type
- Google Hangouts - this will create a Google Hangouts link in the invitation. It is suggested to mention that the meeting will take place in Hangouts in your description, to avoid confusion.
- Skype - If you select Skype, you will be prompted to add your Skype ID, which will appear in the Location field on the invitation.
- Phone - If you select Phone, you will be prompted to add a phone number, which will appear in the Location field on the invitation.
- Location - Select location if you want to schedule and in-person meeting. The location will be included in the invitation.
Step 4 - Description
Add a description to your invitation. Adding additional options of times you can meet is recommended.
Step 5 - Send
When you have entered all the relevant details, click Send.
You may be prompted to confirm your Google account.
Note: Once sent, your invite will appear on your calendar. https://calendar.google.com
